She was wearing a red head band..(blood red), torn jeans, jeans jacket (denim, she later corrected) and shades (corrected from sun-glasses), her hair was tied with a ribbon which had skull and cross bones. She was 6.
'Where are we headed' i wondered, as i scanned her, Agnes.
'To rock, dada'
'What place are you gonna rock' i tried to crack a joke and she made a face, disowning me
'How does Agnes look,?' Asked Lily walking into the scene
'Adorable' i said in my head, 'behave like a father', said another. 'Still adorable, coz she's mine'
Children, I'm told should not be disturbed, when you want to participate in their activities you ask them, sometimes they just don't want you around (maybe coz u crack dumb jokes)
'You look like Dolores R, the Cranberries singer'
'Whom dad?'
'Adorable' i finally said, 'you look like my daughter'
'Stop taking credit for everything...'
'Its a rock thing, I'm not supposed to be looking cute'
'You look perfect Ag, just take the black bicycle, its the perfect ride'
'You know what would look awesome....'
No-one reacted..
'can i say, please' i pleaded
'We'll review your request but you can speak your mind' said the committee of spoilt kids
'A dragon tatoo' i whispered
'He after all, has our genes Lil, bring the paint brush over'
I googled for some, they rejected and found one they liked.
'It needs to breathe fire' i mumbled as Lil got to work
Maushi was not home, had to visit her hometown - i was glad, else we'd find one more of a bad parenting jibe here.
'Woahhhh, this looks wicked' Agnes marveled at her sister's work
'I know, i must get a permanent one myself'
'It does guys' i joined the excitement, 'this smells like teen spirit'
They didn't get it again, but my girl was to attend her first rock gathering (which i didn't know about until this moment) and it was such a good feeling - she looked like she'll give some guys black eyes (peas :p)
She was back at 7, still looking adorable, the dragon looked like a cat :) and was humming something indecipherable , but there was music happening.
I planned to introduce them to Floyd, Zepplin, AcDC . and on a highway to hell walk the stairway to heaven...
Peace out!
